Discover the last work of Nacho Carbonell in partnership with Cervezas Alhambra
“El Patio” is the last work created by Nacho Carbonell in collaboration with Cervezas Alhambra through its contemporary creative platform, crear/sin/prisa. The structure will be exhibited until 25 February in the Matadero Madrid Design Centre as part of the Madrid Design Festival.
This hand-crafted work of art, created using barley paste and over 10,000 bottles of Cervezas Alhambra in the artist’s workshop in Eindhoven.
It is an open structure composed of a set of high-back chairs supporting huge stained glass windows arranged in a participatory creation, in which the spaces, shapes and the combination of light and shadow play a vital role in conveying different sensations to the audience. Since the beginning of the collaboration between Nacho Carbonell and Cervezas Alhambra, and due to the brand’s link with the Alhambra, the artist has focused on the palace as a source of inspiration in his design, as well as the brand’s philosophy. The idea of the open space, together with the arrangement of the items and their varying heights, results in a stimulating environment that makes visitors stop, look and touch, encouraging them to spend time discovering and enjoying the art and the artist’s message.
Take Your Time
As well as inspiring the artists and contemporary craftsmen, Cervezas Alhambra shares with them the privilege of playing by their own rules and being able to speak their own language. The brand believes that life can only be enjoyed to the full when we take our time—when we dedicate the time necessary to experience our surroundings using all five senses. This philosophy is also a calling to people so that they can see and enjoy what the world has to offer.Seguir leyendo
